Delete Your Account
You can delete your Haki account and all associated data at any time. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Option 1: Delete in the app (recommended)
- Open the Haki app on your device
- Go to the Settings tab (bottom navigation, gear icon)
- Scroll down to the Account section
- Tap "Delete account" (red text)
- Confirm the deletion in the dialog
Option 2: Request deletion via email
If you can no longer access the app, send an email to:
support@speakhaki.com
Subject: Account Deletion Request — Haki
Include the email address you used to sign up. We will process your request within 7 business days.
What gets deleted
- Account data — email, authentication credentials
- Translation history — all saved translations and favorites
- Collections — all private collections you created
- Energy balance — any remaining energy
- Settings — language preferences, dark mode, etc.
- Subscription data — RevenueCat customer record (active subscriptions must be cancelled separately via Apple/Google)
Note about subscriptions: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. To avoid being charged, cancel your subscription first in your
Apple App Store settings or
Google Play settings before deleting your account.
Data retention
After deletion:
- All personal data is removed immediately from our systems (Firebase Auth, Firestore)
- Anonymous crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) cannot be linked back to you and are retained for stability analysis
- Shared collections: if you are the owner, the collection is deleted. If you are a member, you are removed from the collection.
